Instructions to apply for Appointment
to the Office Notary Public (Texas)

All applications are processed the same day that we receive them.

1. Download the State Application and complete. Please note the new rules are that the application does not have to be notarized. The application is now acceptable in a two 1-sided pages or one 2-sided page format. Please note, the application has two places on the back side for your signature and one signature on the front side. Missing signatures will delay the issue of your notary commission. 

2. Enclose your payment for $71 made payable to - James Stafford Insurance Agency or Pay by credit card (Please use the attached payment authorization).

3. Mail your payment or credit card authorization with your application to:

Please do not mail to the Secretary of State of Texas. The application must be signed by an agent of authority for the Bonding Company. This will delay the process as they will forward back to my office incomplete.

Once your paperwork is received in our office, we will process and forward to the Secretary of State in Texas along with the proper filing fees.
